Description – Ferro cement, porcelain, acrylic resin, steel.
Part of a series of work loosely based on Deities and Mythological figures.
The base of the stand is can be hidden slightly under the earth / grass .
Ode to Opehlia was exhibited most recently in the Law Library, Dublin.
Previously also in Granby Park, a pop up event off Dominick st, Dublin 1.
Other sculptures in the same series have been exhibited in the Botanic gardens Sculpture in Context, Bloom, and other outdoor garden sculpture exhibitions, including one winning the Large work of Distinction award at the Sculpture in Context exhibition, in the Botanic Gardens, Dublin in 2011.
